I would like to thank David for helping with this readme. I also want to thank the following individuals who have been very helpful:

2. Introduction

So far as I can recall it overclocking was a gambling activity that had inspired and engaged the minds of thousands of people all over the world ever since the first success was revealed. Yet, it is no longer as much a hobby as it once was. The evidence for this is well known and many of you shall confess to having been accustomed to computers because of gradually groving computer industry. Expansion and integrity of computer environments is, in my opinion, the reason of overclocking being so widespread and popular. Not to mention about the desire of getting the most out of modern desktop systems. Whatever your purpose is, there are loads of the faithful who share your thoughts!

3. What's S&M

Most computer environments demand reliable and compatible working of computer software as well as hardware. To be certain that your computer can stand against hardware crushes even when the loads are high, S&M gives you a hand of support. S&M is a system-stress utility for testing the CPU and RAM modules to ensure their working reliability is as high as possible.

4. Installation

The installation process is straightforward once you've downloaded the 'snm.zip' file. As soon as it is at hand, all you've got to do is to extract the contents of the archive to any folder from within which you intend to run the program.

5. Compatibility

The following platforms are supported at the moment:

Windows XP
Windows 2003 Server
DOS (you need to prepare a bootable diskette)

6. Limitations to Usage

The limitations applied to the use of this software are as follows:

a. S&M is provided 'AS IS' and may not be used for any commercial purposes.

b. You may hold but a copy of the original package, provided you intend to use it in private.

c. The original package supplied cannot be re-distributed, promoted or copied on to the media devices at any rate.

d. You may not modify the files in the program folder in any way.

By running S&M you automatically accept every term listed above and confess to having read this list through whether you have or haven't actually done it.

7. Creating a Bootable Media

To run S&M under DOS you must create a bootable diskette. To make one:

a. Run the install.bat file in the program folder.

b. Having prepared a formatted diskette beforehand, push it into the drive A and follow the instructions on the screen.

c. Restart your computer to boot up from the diskette.
